Do you do workshops + speaking engagements?

Yes! Let’s set up a time to talk to discuss exactly what you’re looking for in a speaker. My current presentation is 30 minutes in length and is called "Getting The Most Out of Your Campus Visits". While I do not charge a speaking fee (yet!), I do ask that you allow me to sell my books onsite. For a preview of this talk, watch my 30-minute webinar, "Getting The Most Out of Virtual Visits", which I hosted virtually in Spring 2020.

Is The College Visit Journal available digitally?

Yes! There is a fillable PDF version available on Etsy.com. This digital download is great for virtual visits and allows you to complete an entire visit virtually. It also allows you to export your entries to an Excel spreadsheet. You will need Adobe reader on your computer to use the file. Additionally, it may not work with Google Chrome laptops.

How many colleges did you apply to? Get in to?

I applied to 7 schools and got into 5.

I am a registered vendor with certain school districts in Georgia, California and Texas, along with some independent and charter schools across the U.S. Contact me to make sure I am registered with your district or school! If your school or department is interested in purchasing books for your students or to use as a complement to your current college planning instruction, volume discounts are available.

Did you create and publish on your own or did you have a team?

I self-published The College Visit Journal: Campus Visits Demystified, but in no way was this an individual effort. I relied heavily on my own experiences, and on those of friends and family who recently went through the college visit process to come up with appropriate content. Then, I leveraged my friends and connections within high school counseling groups and higher education to validate my assumptions. If you're curious, you can read more here.
