Going off to college and adjusting to a new environment can tricky to navigate. College Visits show you where you will live, but they don't show you how to adjust.
Don't worry though. If you prepare and know the tools and resources available, you will have a successful transition to college.
I teamed up with Shamelle of The Keys to College to host Unplugged: The HBCU Experience: A Student Panel. We spoke with 5 current HBCU (Historically Black College and University) students from Hampton University, Howard University, Alabama State University, Paul Quinn College and North Carolina A&T.
2020 has forced many students to change how they execute their college search. With an emphasis on virtual engagement, many students have begun virtual tours, college fairs and watching university live streams on social media platforms.
We thought one thing was missing - current students. We wanted to give them a voice and hear directly from them what it's like to be a thriving HBCU student in 2020.
